PNG Ports Corporation to implement new vehicle entry pass system

Stakeholders of PNG Ports Corporation Limited (PNGPCL) will soon be introduced to a new port entry vehicle pass this year.
“Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Stanley Alphonse said “all temporary permits issued currently will be void as soon as the new system becomes operational, which by then all permit holders will be required to surrender the permits for proper vehicle passes.”
Mr. Alphonse said key staffs from PNGPCL’s security department and port business managers have commenced awareness of this new system to make port users and clients aware of this change at the respective ports.
PNGPCL recently completed the vehicle pass review process for immediate implementation.
This review process had to be done as part of the Corporation’s initiative towards enhancing security at the ports.

Mr. Alphonse said PNGPCL is grateful to port users for their patience whilst waiting for the new entry pass system to be implemented.
